I have a few of these left. Brand New, never used. Little information has changed since this came to print. Interesting even if you are not visiting the CZR. A great history book as well as a photo journal.
A must have book if you plan on visiting the Slovak or Czech Republic to buy or see glass. This book lists resources of factory's, schools, museums and shopping. As well as the history, artists and their studios, glass during the communist rule, beads, Christmas ornaments, chandeliers and much more!There are photos on almost every page.
I wore out my personal copy during the two years I lived in Prague, I never left home without it. Often I'd see a 'sklo' sign or the telltale smoke stacks and would look to my book to find out about the source. Now it serves more as a souvenir with all my notes and pamphlets tucked inside. For my next visit I will be breaking in a new copy! |
